Are you still using plastic water bottles? We were for years with our cycling and hiking. Then we started hearing about BPA, the stuff that is in plastic that oozes from it and leaches into the water, so you end up drinking it. Yikes! And let’s face it. After a while those plastic water bottles start to smell and get kind of yucky! We even made to mistake of putting them in the dishwasher which really lets the chemicals in the plastic flow.

Drinking out of glass in very safe at home but what are you going to do when you go for a bike ride or a hike? We started looking into this and came across a website called Better Water Store that carries the Aquasana brand of water filtration devices. They have just introduced their stainless steel water bottles called Aqua-Canteen. These water bottles come in two different sizes. A 26 oz. and a 17 oz. These food-grade, durable stainless steel bottles contain no chemical liner and are BPA free. We love the hour glass shape as they fit in your hand and are very comfortable holding while walking or hiking.

Did you know that over 60,000,000 plastic bottles a day are disposed of in U.S. landfills from bottled water use each day.? That is over30 billion plastic bottles a year! That’s a lot of plastic that isn’t biodegradable. Not only that to make matters worse over 17 billion barrels of oil are used to produce those bottles. Then add the transportation and you have an eviromental mess.

Why not use a water filtration system? They are a lot easier on our landfills, the water tastes better and it’s a heck of a lot cheaper too. Our Aquasana water filter costs us less than 9 cents a gallon of water and tastes a heck of a lot better than any bottled water ever did. We went online and got ours through Better Water Store. Included free shipping. It only took a few days to receive it and connecting it was super simple. After a few minutes of running water through it, we were all set up. So do yourself a favor. Go out and get a good filtration system and save money and our planet!
