Why Use a Whole House Water Filter?

My son ran across this video about Trader Joe’s  What does it have to do about health? Well for one thing if you never have been in a Trader Joe’s they have some of the best specialty foods around. Like $2.00 wine that tastes like $4.00. No hormone eggs and meats. Great breads. Great coffee. The list goes on and on.  But the best way to get to know Trader Joe’s is to watch this video. Shower Filters-An Easy Way to Remove Chlorine From Your Shower

Chlorine. Let’s face it. It’s really nasty stuff.  We use it in our water supply for one reason and one reason alone. It’s cheap! That’s right cheap. It kills most bacteria and is easy to introduce into our water supply. But what happens when it goes through all of those water supply lines and ends up in our home?  Well we get some of it? How much. It varies. We did a test with a simple pool test kit that we got from Lowe’s. You know, the kind you get when you have a pool or spa. Brought it home and boy were we surprised. Our test looked like the level in a pool. Yuk!

But when you stop to think about it, it makes sense. Otherwise bacteria could grow in the pipes leading into your home. Our solution? Both a water filtration system for our drinking water and a shower filter for our bathrooms. Still using bottled water? There are three things you should know.
